When we take care of others, we often fail to take care of ourselves. Autism parents and caregivers are actually experiencing truama much so like PTSD.
Research has shown the effects on caregivers is a breaksdown of the physical, mental and emotional components. They often become ill themselves, overwhelmed with emotions and stressed to the point of anger and resentment.
This can also lead to financial and relationship struggles.
It is time to HEAL.
Healing comes with self care and support.
How and where can we find it?
